Girls’ Learn to Play Ice Hockey – Returning to Coventry for 2026!

Following the successful 2025 programme in Coventry, we’re excited to announce that the Girls’ Learn to Play Ice Hockey programme is back for summer 2026!

After introducing many girls and women to the game last year, we’re building on that momentum with a new programme designed to welcome even more beginners onto the ice.

Willies.co.uk, in partnership with Bauer Hockey, Planet Ice Skydome Arena, and the Coventry Phoenix Women’s Ice Hockey Club, is proud to continue delivering this empowering initiative for girls and women aged 7+ who are ready to try something new, active, and fun.

2026 Programme Dates

Sessions will run on the following Sundays:

·         5th July

·         12th July

·         26th July

·         2nd August

·         9th August

·         23rd August

The programme consists of 6 sessions over an 8-week period, allowing for rink availability.

When & Where?

Sundays, 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Planet Ice Skydome Arena, Coventry

Cost

£12 per session (payable directly to Planet Ice)

What’s Included?

Beginner Coaching – No experience needed! Our friendly coaches will guide you through skating, stick handling, and gameplay basics.

Free Equipment Loan – Don’t have kit? No problem – Willies provides loan equipment to help you get started.

Supportive Environment – Learn at your own pace in a relaxed, inclusive setting focused on fun and confidence-building.

Please note: All participants must bring their own skates or hire them from Planet Ice at their own cost. Skates are not included in the loan equipment.
